Turkish media has reported today that Galatasaray's Lincoln went to Brazil, albeit without any authorization from the club, to spend the 15-day World Cup Qualifiers break. Lincoln has recently been in dispute with the club's new manager, legendary "captain" Bulent Korkmaz, who left him on the bench in the games against Trabzonspor (A) and Hamburg (H, Uefa Cup). I think Lincoln has realized that there is no more a future for him in the club, and wants to decrease his transfer fee by creating these complications. It is also highly probable that his annual salary, 3.2 M Euros, becomes a problem among the team members who are paid less.
Lincoln was once the darling of the Gala supporters, now he is no more than a black sheep!
